This project, developed for Accelerate Marketing Company, employed a WordPress child theme to customize the site with added features, preserving core functionality during theme updates. The child theme, built with PHP, HTML, and CSS, served as the foundation for extending the core WordPress CMS. This approach allowed for the seamless integration of custom post types, tailored to meet Accelerate Marketing’s specific needs.
Specifically, the child theme facilitated the creation of dedicated custom post types for a portfolio, showcasing their work in a structured and visually appealing manner. Additionally, a custom Twitter feed integration was implemented as a unique custom post type, enabling the client to effortlessly display real-time social media content directly on their website. This robust combination of custom post types and the flexibility of the child theme ensured a highly tailored and maintainable website for Accelerate Marketing Company.
